After a late-night confrontation in Detroit, Michigan State Police shot and k!lled a man wanted for the murder and dismemberment of his wife in Burton.

Officers arrived to the Kings Lane Apartments complex at Fenton and Hemphill roads around 7:20 p.m. 16, July, 2023, Saturday to check on the well-being of a lady who resided there, according to Burton Police Chief Brian Ross. A woman was found de@d inside an apartment. Ross didn’t know how or when the woman d!ed.

Officers entered the residence and discovered Shauna Roy, 41, deceased. Ross claimed the woman’s husband, 44-year-old Tony Roy, dissected her body, placed body pieces in garbage bags, and dumped the bags in the apartment’s bath tub.

Burton police spent the weekend searching for the woman’s husband and going through evidence. Ross stated that after obtaining arrest warrants for the suspect, evidence led investigators to Tony Roy’s location in the Detroit region.

Around 11:40 p.m., fugitive teams from the Detroit region and Mid-Michigan discovered Tony traveling on Telegraph Road north of Seven Mile Road in the Detroit city limits.

According to Michigan State Police, the man was driving with a female acquaintance when officers conducted a traffic check. After stopping, Troopers allegedly witnessed Tony point a revolver at himself and the woman.
