The superb actor Ray Liotta, who earned his reputation in Martin Scorsese’s criminal classic Goodfellas, has died.
According to Deadline, the actor died in his sleep while filming Dangerous Waters in the Dominican Republic.
According to TMZ, there were no signs of foul play or anything odd about the death.
Liotta is survived by his daughter Karsen, who was 67 at the time of his death.
He was engaged to Jacy Nittolo, who accompanied him to the set when he was filming.
The cause of death is yet unknown.

Raymond Allen Liotta was an American performer and movie producer who lived from December 18, 1954, until May 26, 2022. He was most recognized for his roles as Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams (1989), Henry Hill in Goodfellas (1990), and Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City in the video game (2002).
He also starred in Unlawful Entry (1992), Cop Land (1997), Hannibal (2001), Blow (2001), John Q (2002), Identity (2003), Observe and Report (2009), Killing Them Softly (2012), The Place Beyond the Pines (2012), Marriage Story (2019), and The Many Saints of Newark (2021), as well as the serial drama Shades of Blue (2016–2018).
Ray Liotta Cause Of Death
Ray Liotta, best remembered for his role as mobster Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” and for adding seductively edgy energy to a gallery of crime shows and thrillers, has died.
He was 67 years old at the time.
According to his spokeswoman, Jennifer Allen, Liotta died in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming “Dangerous Waters.” No foul play is suspected, according to Allen, who added that Liotta’s fiancée, Jacy Nittolo, was on the island with him.
In a statement, Scorsese said: “I’m absolutely shocked and devastated by the sudden, unexpected death of Ray Liotta.. As an actor, he was incredibly gifted, adventurous, and courageous.”
In a four-decade playing career, Liotta established himself as one of Hollywood’s most dependable tough-guy actors, adept at portraying cops and criminals in films such as “Something Wild,” “Cop Land,” and “Killing Them Softly.”

After meeting at a baseball game where her ex-husband Mark Grace was playing for the Chicago Cubs, Liotta engaged actress and producer Michelle Grace in February 1997. Before getting a divorce in 2004, the couple was blessed with a daughter named Karsen.
During an appearance on Jay Leno’s Garage, Ray Liotta said that the daughters of Frank Sinatra, Nancy and Tina Sinatra, had previously sent a horse’s head to Liotta in the mail. The joke was told as a reaction to Liotta turning down the opportunity to play their late father in a miniseries that they were working on, only to have Liotta reprise the role in The Rat Pack, a television film that aired on HBO in 1998.
