Lightning has postponed Luke Combs’ concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. As of 10:30 p.m., the storm has brought lightning and heavy rain to South Philadelphia.
However, just after 10:30 p.m., stadium personnel informed us that the event had NOT been canceled. They stated that the show will resume when the weather permitted. They confirmed the news in a tweet to supporters on the X platform at 10:36 p.m. Friday night.
“He will play his full set once the weather is clear,” they wrote.

It’s unknown when Luke Combs will hit the stage on Friday night. But when he does, here’s what he’s likely to play. When the initial announcement of a weather delay was relayed with viewers around 9:00 p.m. on Friday, the event was already underway.
The first bands for the concert had already taken the stage. Fans expected Luke to take the stage about 9:00 p.m. when they learnt of the delay because lightning was reported in the region. Shortly after (about 9:30 p.m.), Lincoln Financial Field administrators advised attendees to leave the open seating area due to the storms for their own safety.
“For your safety, please exit the open seating area at this time and seek shelter along the concourses, utilizing the ramps to spread out. Thank you for your cooperation,” stadium officials wrote on social media.
“A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for our area. These storms may produce severe conditions, including lightning, and strong winds.”
Fans were crammed inside the stadium, according to footage published on social media.

The initial message informed fans that they were awaiting clearance due to lightning in the vicinity. It was published shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
“Hey everyone, we’ll be on stage as soon as we get clearance from the stadium due to the threat of lightning.” “Thank you for your patience,” it said.
