The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office reports a man died in a plane crash in Hamilton on Tuesday morning, June 27. The single person in the aircraft, the pilot, was declared dead at the site “due to the impact of the crash.”
In a Facebook post, the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as a man from Hamilton who was the only passenger. Due to the intensity of the collision, he was declared dead at the site.
The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office released the following:
An adult male from the Hamilton region served as the pilot. The Curtiss Wright P-40E airplane that crashed on land owned by a private individual bordered the Stock Farm to the north.
