Nia Talita Long was born on October 30, 1970, in New York City. She has received several honours, including three NAACP Image Awards and a Black Reel Award.
Long is best known for her roles in Boyz n the Hood (1991), Love Jones, Soul Food (both 1997), The Best Man (1999) and its sequel The Best Man Holiday (2013), Big Momma’s House (2000), and Big Momma’s House 2 (2006). When did Nia first start dating Ime Udoka?
In 2010, the 51-year-old actress began dating former basketball player Ime Udoka. In November 2011, they welcomed their first child, a son named Kez. The couple became engaged in 2015, but it doesn’t appear that they will be taking their relationship to the next level anytime soon.
“I understand the religious aspect of marriage,” Nia said in a 2012 interview with Essence. That is lovely, fantastical, and dreamy, and it is every girl’s dream to have that experience. But I’m not sure I need that to feel like I’m in a good partnership.” She went on to say at the time that “marriage is not a priority for her.”
Now that Udoka has taken a position, Long will be seen more in the NBA.
On June 23, it was announced that Udoka, who previously worked as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs and the Brooklyn Nets, had been hired as the Boston Celtics’ next head coach, one of the league’s most high-profile positions. Udoka will be the first Nigerian head coach in NBA history. Nia Long’s boyfriend, Ime Udoka, was born in Portland on August 9, 1977. He was born under the sign of Leo and is 44 years old. Ime Udoka is best known for his work as a basketball coach. He, too, was born in the Year of the Serpent.
Udoka attended Utah State University Eastern and the University of San Francisco before transferring to Portland State, where he was a standout for the Vikings.
Udoka began his professional basketball career with the Charleston Lowgators, who drafted him with the 39th overall pick in the 2002 NBDL Draft.
