Why Was Matt Shultz Arrested?

Cage Matt Shultz, the lead singer of the band The Elephant, was arrested in New York City on Thursday after police found two loaded guns in his room at the Bowery Hotel.

Police took away a loaded.45-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol and a.45-caliber Sig Sauer pistol from the musician and charged him with multiple counts of having a gun.

Billboard said that Shultz was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The NYPD was used as a source. He had guns with him, but he didn’t have a licence for them.

The person was taken into custody after a call to 911 around 10 a.m. said that someone was holding a weapon. Matt Shultz spent the night at the 9th Precinct in Lower Manhattan after he was arrested.

He was said to have brought a gun into the public bathroom on the first floor of the hotel.

After getting the complaint, the police told the newspaper that they went to Matt Shultz’s house the next day and knocked on the door. The artist allegedly told police he owned two.45-caliber guns. When asked if he still had the weapons, artist Matt Shultz said he didn’t know.

The NYPD then arrested Shultz and took him to the 9th Precinct Station House, where he stayed the night.

After the arrest, a judge gave the police permission to search his room, where they found guns that were already loaded. A Sig Sauer and a Smith & Wesson were discovered.

On Friday, when he was brought before the court, the judge set his cash bail at $10,000. The next hearing will be on January 11.
