After six years of marriage, Gogglebox actors Stephen and Daniel Lustig-Webb have filed for divorce, but they have promised to stay “forever friends.”
Since getting married in 2018, the couple has been on the well-known program, where viewers are filmed reacting to movies, TV episodes, and news while sitting on their couches. Since the show’s debut in 2013, Stephen has played a lead role in it.
The 52-year-old said on Sunday, “Daniel and I have decided to divorce with much sadness. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.”

In the Sussex village of Hurstierpoint, the couple—both of whom are hairdressers—owns and operates Lustig & Webb Hairdressing. Following a two-year engagement, they got married in 2018.
The announcement of the couple’s exit from Gogglebox came months after Pat, Stephen’s mother, who made a cameo appearance on the show, passed away in January 2023 following a “long illness.”
When they announced they were leaving the program in September 2023, they stated in a statement that they felt the time was appropriate to move on and look into other options.
Later on, word spread that Stephen had been selected to compete in the 16th season of Dancing on Ice. But he had to pull out because of an ankle problem.
After that, Stephen made two series of appearances with his mother Pat before Daniel joined him. After his mother passed away, Stephen honored her by referring to her as “one in a million.”
The death of forty-year-old George Gilbey in March of this year brought more tragedy to the show; Gilbey rose to popularity as a Celebrity Big Brother contestant after making an appearance on Gogglebox.
TV personality Ricci Guarnaccio, who co-starred with Gilbey on Celebrity Big Brother in 2014, broke the initial news, stating that Gilbey had passed away while at work.
