Efron told the magazine that the mishap happened when he was rushing through his house wearing socks. Then he slipped and hit a granite fountain, breaking his jaw.
The chewing muscles known as masseters, situated on the side of the face from the cheekbone to the lower jaw, had to work more diligently due to the injury, according to Efron, who noted that while he worked with a physical therapist to rehabilitate.
