The person who was sh0t and k!lled in the Hazelwood Neighborhood on May 9, 2023, has been named as 37-year-old Justin Joki.
Portland police reported that the news of his death has been told to his family. The Medical Examiner found that he had been k!lled with a firearm.
At 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, officers from the East Precinct went to a report of a sh00ting near the intersection of East Burnside Street and Northeast 122nd Avenue. When the police got there, they found a de@d man. Portland Police shared this tragic information by posting a tweet which is given below.

Between 122nd Avenue and 126th Avenue, East Burnside Street will be stopped while the investigation continues. Also, both the eastbound and westbound MAX lines in that area are closed.
After the victim has been positively identified, the medical examiner confirms the cause of de@th, and the victim’s family has been told the victim’s name will be made public. The PIO isn’t reacting to what’s going on. When it’s time, more information will be given out.
