In a statement conveyed to people on behalf of Perdomo’s family and representatives, it was expressed, “His fervor for the arts and unyielding zest for life resonated deeply with all who crossed paths with him, and his affection will endure within those closest to his heart.”
“We kindly ask for your understanding in honoring the family’s request for privacy as they navigate through the grieving process for their cherished son and brother,” the statement concludes.
Perdomo’s most recent portrayal was as Andre Anderson in the action-comedy Gen V, a Prime Video series and spin-off of The Boys. Deadline, the first to break the news, reported that the show’s second season will be delayed following Perdomo’s passing.
The producers of the series conveyed in a statement to PEOPLE, “We are struggling to comprehend this loss. For those of us fortunate to have known and collaborated with him, Chance embodied charm and positivity, exuding an infectious energy, immense talent, and above all, a genuine kindness.”

Amazon, MGM Studios, and Sony Pictures Television stated, “The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time.”
Perdomo’s roots trace back to Los Angeles, but he was raised in Southampton, England, as noted by Deadline. Despite initially considering a career in law after high school, he ultimately pursued his passion for the arts, commencing his acting journey at London’s National Youth Theater.
His notable roles include Ambrose Spellman in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina from 2018 to 2020, and Landon Gibson in the final three installments of the After film series: After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and After Everything.
Additionally, Perdomo starred in Bad Man, an indie film inspired by a true story that wrapped production in February, as reported by Deadline.
In a February Instagram post, Perdomo himself shared the news, expressing his excitement: “Excited to see #badman taken to market. Somewhere, there’s a 5-hour cut of just bloopers. @mikediliberti, thanks for the trust. The shoot was one for the books. 🫱🏾🫲🏼It begins!”
