After a gunshot in Sanford, ten people are reportedly healing, according to Seminole County Sheriff’s Detectives. This took place at Cabana Live on Carraway Place shortly after midnight.

First, deputies were called to the bar to see how the large crowd was doing. At that moment, they noticed a crowd of people rushing and heard several gunshots coming from behind the building.

Neisha Foster remarked, “I heard pow pow pow I was so frightened I started looking around everybody just roaming around scattering.”  She informed WESH that when it occurred, she was at Cabana Live. When she heard the gunshot, she said, all she could think to do was fall to the ground.

She said, “I was terrified. I was crawling on the ground screaming for my sister. Everybody is trying to ask me what’s going on. Everybody is clueless.”

She claims that while she was on the ground, someone ran over her, leaving her with an enormously swollen leg. Still, she thinks she’s lucky. According to an arrest complaint from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, a fistfight broke out inside the restaurant before the young person, who was not participating in the fight, pulled out a revolver and began shooting at the audience.

According to the account, a security guard removed the gun from him almost immediately by tackling him to the ground. “I’m grateful to be alive and I’m grateful to be back with my kids,” Foster said.

According to the arrest report, two Seminole County Deputies were present at the location at the time of the incident in addition to numerous security guards. The sixteen-year-old was arrested right away.

The arrest report states that eleven people ultimately received gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital. The victim’s wounds are not life-threatening, according to officials. The majority of them sustained lower body injuries.

According to the organization, wide receiver Tank Dell of the Houston Texans was one of the victims of the incident. Dell, a native of Daytona Beach, was hospitalized but later released with a minor injury.

Despite the incident, many continued to visit Cabana Live on Sunday. A customer named Greg Sanders said, “The pool was active I had dinner… or lunch. It was wonderful. I think that it’s back to normal.”

Penny Sheipe, a customer, added,  “I didn’t have concerns coming down. Actually, I didn’t think they were going to be open.”

Cabana Live described the incident as isolated and stated on their Facebook page on Sunday that they are working with the Sheriff’s Office and declared that they would be accessible throughout regular business hours.

The police said the 16-year-old who shot the gun is being charged with trying to kill someone, firing a gun in a public place, using a gun while committing a crime, and having a gun as a minor.
