“They’ve had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together,” the source told, noting that “ultimately” Swift and Alwyn “weren’t the right fit for one another.”

According to a source close to Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn, despite the end of their romantic relationship, the two remain on “friendly” terms. The insider reported that Swift has no negative remarks about Alwyn and that they “just grew apart.” Presently, the musician is fully focused on her tour.

On April 9, the same weekend when the news of the split surfaced, Swift was seen filming a new music video in Liverpool. A few days later, she had a relaxed dinner in New York City with Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley at Via Carota, an Italian restaurant situated about a 4-minute walk from Cornelia Street. The street’s name has been used in one of Swift’s songs from her 2019 Lover album, and it’s where she rented a home earlier.

Swift is currently occupied with her ongoing Eras Tour, and is also re-recording her previous albums. Recently, Swift has been teasing her fans with Easter eggs, hinting towards the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in the near future.
