Sam said in the interview, “I’ve always had a little bit of a war going on between my body and mind.”

“Sometimes, in my head, I do think like a woman.” I’ve asked myself, “Do I want a sexual change?”

“I still think about it and ask myself, ‘Do I want to?'”

Many non-binary people don’t see themselves as either male or female, so they use the pronouns they or them instead of he or she.

Smith has talked about his gender identity without a label before, but this is the first time he has come out and said he is nonbinary.

Smith told the Sunday Times in an interview in October 2017: “I don’t know what the title would be, but I feel as much like a woman as I do a man.”

Smith told Jamil that he realised he was gay when he was 10 and stopped wearing men’s clothes when he was 16. He also said that he wore fur and makeup to school.

He said, “I’ve always had a lot of freedom in how I think about my sexuality, so I’ve just tried to change that in how I think about gender.”
