Netflix will make 2023 “The Witcher” year.
The “Witcher” spinoff show “The Witcher: Blood Origin” will start on Dec. 25. Season 3 of the main “Witcher” show will come out in the summer of 2023. This was announced at the streamer’s fan event Tudum on Saturday.
The last time fans went to “The Witcher” world was when Season 2 of the Henry Cavill fantasy show came out in December 2021. Since then, it has led to even more similar things. In addition to the “Blood Origin” limited series, an anime movie is coming out, and a “Witcher” series that is good for the whole family is being made.
The story of Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan), and Yennefer will continue in “The Witcher” Season 3. (Anya Chalotra). Robbie Amell, Meng’er Zhang, Hugh Skinner, and Christelle Elwin will also be a part of the cast. Amell plays Gallatin, an elf who is a fighter and is in charge of an army of Scoia’tael guerrillas fighting for Nilfgaard. Zhang is Milva.
The dryads of Brokilon Forest took her in and raised her as their own. She is a fierce and skilled huntress. Skinner plays Prince Radovid, who is a royal playboy and King Vizimir’s younger brother (Ed Birch). Elwin is Mistle, a member of the gang The Rats, which is made up of teenagers who don’t fit in and steal from the rich to give to themselves.
The prequel series “Blood Origin” is set in an elf world 1,200 years before the events of “The Witcher.” It will tell a story that has been lost to time, including how the first Witcher was made and what happened before the key Conjunction of the Spheres, when the worlds of monsters, humans, and elves came together to become one.
Michelle Yeoh plays Scion, the last member of a nomadic tribe of sword-elves who is on a mission to get back a blade that was taken from her people. Sophia Brown plays Éile, a warrior of the Queen’s guard who leaves to become a traveling musician, and Laurence O’Fuarain plays Fjall, who was born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king but instead goes out to get revenge.
Mirren Mack is playing Merwyn, Lenny Henry is playing Balor, Jacob Collins is playing Eredin, Lizzie Annis is playing Zacaré, Huw Novelli is playing Callan “Brother Death,” Francesca Mills is playing Meldorf, Amy Murray is playing Fenrik, Nathaniel Curtis is playing Bran, Zach Wyatt is playing Syndril, and Dylan Moran is playing Uthrok One-Nut.
