The Prime Day 2023 dates have been selected. Amazon has confirmed that Prime Day will begin on Tuesday, July 11, at 3 a.m. (ET). Exclusive access to hundreds of Prime Day bargains on well-known brands like Bose, Apple, LG, Ninja, and more is provided to Prime members only during the 48-hour event.
In honor of Amazon’s 20th anniversary and to thank Prime subscribers, the first Prime Day was celebrated in July 2015. Since then, Amazon has held Prime Day annually, typically in July.
We’ve covered Prime Day since it began. Prime Day, now in its ninth year, has grown stale. Throughout the event, we’ll see some amazing price drops, but most of those savings will be on things you don’t need. To that aim, I’ll search for discounts on goods we’ve tried, bought myself, or approved by the Tom’s Guide crew.
For example, the best early Prime Day offer We’ve seen is the Amazon 43-inch Omni 4K Fire TV, now on sale for $99.99. That is the most affordable 4K TV I’ve ever seen. This deal comes with two caveats. First, you must request an invite to purchase it when it becomes available on Prime Day. In addition, in our Amazon Fire TV Omni review, we stated that it is a fine, but not amazing, television. If you care about picture quality, this TV is not for you. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic deal at $99.

Best Early Amazon Device Deals
As is customary in the weeks running up to Prime Day, the best offers are on Amazon devices, including a half-priced tablet for kids, our favorite mesh Wi-Fi system, and a few Fire TV-enabled TVs.
Best Early Tech Deals
Savings on unsexy necessities from Amazon’s in-house range, such as batteries, cables, and wall chargers, are also available. However, if you look hard enough, you may also locate computer accessories such as gaming mice and keyboards and a slightly cheaper set of AirPods Max.
Best Early Amazon Fashion Deals
So far, the fashion offers have mostly come from Amazon’s in-house lines, with some surprisingly in-season options like Daily Ritual.
Best Early Kids & Baby Deals
So far, deals in the kids department include the pint-sized Fire tablet we mentioned above, printed Echo Dots, and a slew of adorable clothing from companies like Carter’s and Hanna Andersson.

Best Invite-Only Prime Deals
For 2023, here’s something new: Amazon has added a brand-new “invite only” area to the Prime Day landing page, a small selection of very good offers only available in limited quantities. You must submit a request to purchase these items and then check your email during Prime Day to see if you were chosen to shop at these amazing prices. We don’t know how limited these offers are, but there’s no harm in signing up.
Every year, Amazon celebrates Prime Day, a shopping holiday in July. Amazon offers sitewide discounts during the 48-hour event, restricted to Prime members, on anything from 4K TVs to kitchen appliances. However, Amazon hardware frequently enjoys the most outstanding price cuts.
Prime Day is the day of the year when Amazon products like Echo speakers, Fire TVs, and Ring security cameras are most affordable, outside of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It’s important to note that Amazon held two significant shopping events for us last year.
There was Prime Day in the summer, and in October, there was a deal for Prime Early Access. The latter served as a prelude to the holiday shopping season rather than offering Prime Day bargains.
