Monday night, two people were shot and killed in the Old Louisville neighbourhood, prompting an investigation by Louisville Metro Police.
According to Lt. Maj. Eric Wampler, officers responded to reports of a shooting in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Arthur Street at approximately 7:15 p.m.
When the police arrived, they discovered two shot victims. Wampler confirmed that an adult male was deemed dead at the scene.
A second person who was in critical condition was taken to University Hospital, but they died soon after.
Police have stated that no suspects exist. The LMPD Homicide Unit is responsible for the ongoing investigation.
