While authorities have yet to disclose the identities of the deceased, KYTV has reported that two adults and two sons lost their lives. Sheriff Chris Degase mentioned that several neighbors, extending up to 10 miles away, reported hearing the explosion.
The Sheriff said, “It was something like I had never ever seen before. A month or two ago, we had a house explosion that was propane-related, and that house caught on fire, but there was no fire on this one. It had me a little bit baffled.”
The fire marshal characterized it as a sudden flash, exploding with such rapidity that it bypassed the opportunity to ignite the house. As a precautionary measure, a bomb squad was dispatched to the residence to ensure there were no explosive devices present. The incident remains under investigation.
