Robert Cormier, a Canadian actor who participated in the drama “Heartland,” has passed away at the age of 33.
According to his obituary, actor Cormier passed away in Etobicoke, Ontario, on Friday. His sister told his talent agent’s office that he died in the hospital from injuries acquired in a fall.
According to IMDb, Cormier portrayed Finn Cotter on “Heartland” and participated in “Designated Survivor” in 2016, “Slasher” in 2019, and “American Gods” in 2021.
“Robbie died as a result of a tragic accident,” Stephanie Cormier’s sister disclosed in a family statement.
“The family of Robbie Cormier would like to thank everyone for their love and support,” the statement stated. “Our family would like to thank everyone on the Toronto Critical Care team for the sensitive care they provided Robbie and the kindness they exhibited to our family. We will always be appreciative.
“Many people adored Robbie, and we are grieved by his untimely passing,” the statement said. “While we are heartbroken, we take consolation in the immense love and support Robbie’s friends, coworkers, and fans have offered our family.” Thank you.”
On social media, “Heartland” paid tribute to Cormier, calling him “a cherished part of the Heartland cast for the past two seasons.”
The statement said, “We are very sad to hear that Robert Cormier has died.” “The cast and crew of Heartland are thinking of him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this hard time.”
UPtv, which airs the show, also remembered Cormier as “an amazing talent who left us too soon.”
“We are very sad to hear about his death. “We send our deepest condolences to his friends, family, and co-workers,” the network said, along with a photo of him and co-star Amber Marshall.
In his death notice, Cormier was called an “athlete, an actor, and a great brother.”
“He loved helping people and was always looking for ways to do more. He liked watching movies with his family and looked up to his father a lot, it said. “Throughout his life, he had a big impact on many people, including his family, teammates, and friends.”
“His three sisters, who meant the world to him, and his love of art and movies will keep Rob’s memory alive,” the obituary said.
