The Canadian singer Celine Dion said she was canceling her planned world tour because of health problems. This statement came from her Instagram on Friday, May 26, as the singer revealed she was trying to “build back strength” after her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.

What Is Stiff-Person Syndrome?
Stiff-person syndrome is a rare, progressive muscle disease that causes stiffness in the arms, legs, and torso, as the name suggests. It leads to a greater sensitivity to noise, touch, and discomfort, which can lead to muscle spasms.
Hopkins Medicine says this autoimmune disorder can worsen if it isn’t treated. Even though there isn’t a cure for it, therapy can help make it easier to live with.
Relaxants, sedatives, immunotherapy, and physical therapy are some of the choices a person with this neurological disorder usually considers. It most usually develops in people aged between 40 to 50.
Muscle contractions can make it hard to walk, make you feel unsteady, make your stance stiff, make you short of breath, and cause pain in the body. Stiff-person syndrome is an extremely rare sickness affecting only one or two of every million people.

Celine Dion’s Health Problems And Tour Cancellation
Dion said she was canceling her tour in a post on her social media. The famous singer, who was last seen in Love Again with Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan, wrote, “I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%.”
The singer, who is 55 years old, had already said that the tour would be put off until December 2022.
“It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again! – Celine xx” she concluded. The post further explained how to get the tickets refunded for the forty-two canceled dates of her Courage World Tour and listed the shows canceled. Fans of the My Heart Will Go On singer poured love and get-well-soon wishes in her comments.
