Outer Banks Season 3 Release Date Update:
Netflix has not confirmed a release date for Outer Banks season 3 at this time. That said, with production being officially underway, the chances of season 3 premiering before the end of 2022 have increased dramatically!
Typically, a series like Outer Banks takes a few months to film, and the current plan appears to be for season 3 filming to take place over the next several months before wrapping in August. If the show concludes in August as scheduled, post-production will take several months to finish.
While the precise number of months required for post-production is uncertain, the creative team should have more than enough time to complete the season in time for a 2022 release. At the moment, November or December 2022 appear to be the most likely months for the series’ premiere.
It’s also possible we could see season 3 released on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day 2023.
While we wait for the newest season of Outer Banks to premiere, we can always relive the action from the show’s first two seasons, which are currently streaming on Netflix.

Expected Plot of Outer Banks Season 3: What Will Happen In Season 3?
Unfortunately, facts about what will happen in Outer Banks season 3 are scarce at the moment, with the show’s writers and Netflix playing it safe. However, certain facts are known, while others can be assumed.
Season 2 of the show included plenty of drama, with John B and Sarah spending the season in the Bahamas following the turbulent climax to season 1. Meanwhile, the Pogues and the Kooks maintained their quest for the $400 million prize. By season’s end, we learnt that John B’s father had been discovered alive.
According to Josh Pate and Shannon Burke, the show’s creators, “John B’s connection with his father is a major topic.” They will eventually reunite, and John B will have to reconcile his idealised vision of his deceased father with the reality of his living father.”
Meanwhile, the Pogues ended their second season trapped on a barren island with no food and no way to escape. Additionally, Carla Limbrey, the season 2 villain, has made contact with Big John, John B’s father, and the two appear to be building an alliance to obtain what they both desire. Will adversaries become friends? We must wait and see.
Additionally, we have plenty more romance to look forward to, particularly among the Pogues, with the showrunners revealing they will explore some long-awaited ties.
