Oprah Winfrey is opening up about what she’s learned while losing 42 pounds.
“Intention is the most powerful factor that dominates my universe,” the media mogul told Weight Watchers magazine. “I do nothing without first thinking about why I’m doing it.” “What is your true motivation?”
The magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, Theresa DiMasi, told ABC News, “She is extremely honest and very open about her journey on Weight Watchers.”
Oprah has always been open about her weight challenges, and in the magazine, the 62-year-old stated that the key to not only losing weight but also living a better life is self-acceptance.
I’d never done it before, I’d always beaten myself up because I was bound by a number.”
She went on to say that she no longer punishes herself or feels bad about indulging in guilty pleasures; she simply doesn’t eat all of her favorite goodies all at once.
These are wise words to live by in the new year!
