In Elvis, a new biopic from director Baz Luhrmann, the King of Rock and Roll is back on the big screen. When will the movie be released on Blu-ray and DVD once it left the theatres?
Elvis finally had its worldwide premiere in theatres on June 24 after a year of anticipation. Elvis Presley, one of the most well-known and influential rock stars of all time, is played by Austin Butler in this classic role. The movie traces Presley’s historical rise and heartbreaking decline over a 20-year period.
Presley’s connection with Col. Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks, his manager during his career, was tumultuous. The decision to participate in the war and ultimately wed Priscilla Presley, portrayed by Olivia DeJonge, were both made under Parker’s strong influence.
Elvis defeated Top Gun: Maverick for the top spot at the domestic box office in the United States with $31.1 million, proving that fans still adore the King. Butler, a 30-year-old up-and-coming talent, has earned wonderful reviews in comparison to Hanks’ performance, which has received mixed reviews.
When will the music biopic be released on DVD and Blu-ray after its run in theatres?
