Jonathan Gannon had worked as the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator before joining the Cardinals. The squad even made it to the Super Bowl when he was there. Gannon has also worked as an assistant coach with the Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons, among others.

His NFL coaching career began in 2007 with the Atlanta Falcons as a defensive quality control coach. Later, in 2009, he was hired as a college scout by the St. Louis Rams, and he was promoted to a pro scout in 2010.

Gannon remained with the Rams until the 2011 season when he was hired as a defensive quality control coach by the Tennessee Titans. He joined the Minnesota Vikings in 2014 as an assistant defensive back and defensive quality control coach.

After leaving the Vikings in 2018, Frank Reich of the Indianapolis Colts hired Gannon, and he worked with cornerbacks and defensive backs there until 2020.

Gannon was hired as the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator in 2021. He stayed with them for two seasons, leading them to Super Bowl LVII. Unfortunately, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38-35 in the 2023 Super Bowl.
