She posted on Instagram, “Thank you for all the outpouring of love and kind words you’ve all been sending.”

“Joseph and I are overjoyed and will be sharing our journey on my social media accounts in the months to come. Both our families and our friends couldn’t be more supportive and happy for us!”

Since a car crashed through her Sydney daycare facility in 2003, when she was just two years old and suffered catastrophic injuries, Ms. Delezio has been well-known.

Ninety percent of her body was burned in the third degree; she was one of two toddlers trapped beneath the flaming automobile. She lost her right hand, her ear, and both of her legs below the knee.

When she was five years old in 2006, another tragedy struck when a car struck the stroller she was in at a pedestrian crossing, sending her eighteen meters into the air and causing a lifetime brain injury.

In addition to becoming a keynote speaker, Ms. Delezio has used social media to increase awareness of life with a disability.
