Trey Gowdy is a former American politician and federal prosecutor. He was born on August 22, 1964, in Greenville, South Carolina, and he served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from South Carolina’s 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2019. Gowdy is a member of the Republican Party. During his time in Congress, he was known for his involvement in several high-profile investigations, including the Benghazi attack and the Hillary Clinton email controversy. Before his career in politics, Gowdy worked as a federal prosecutor in South Carolina, where he gained a reputation for his work on drug trafficking and child pornography cases.
Did you know that Gowdy’s committee spent more than two and a half years and $7.8 million examining the circumstances surrounding the 2012 Benghazi attack? However, the investigation could not uncover proof of specific wrongdoings committed by the then-Secretary of State Clinton.
However, getting back to the main topic, Gowdy’s health issues, accidents, and even plastic surgery speculations have recently surfaced.
The rumors have sparked much discussion on social media sites like Twitter. So, let’s see if the reports regarding his health issues and plastic surgery were actual.
Did Trey Gowdy Undergone Plastic Surgery?
In a recent interview with Trey, he appeared to be a completely different person. People eagerly jumped on it, wondering what had happened to Trey Gowdy’s Nose and Face.
After learning that the lawmaker had made no statement on the subject, we searched online for more information. Unfortunately, no reputable website has addressed the issue.
As a result, we started comparing Gowdy’s before and after excerpts ourselves, and the results are as follows. We can see why Trey’s health issue has piqued people’s interest. It turns out he wasn’t always like this; his face is noticeably paler than usual, and his nose appears to be in an unusual position.
Some assume that Trey was killed in a car accident. However, we are unable to verify this. Because there is no record of the 57-year-old being involved in a car accident.
Some speculate that he underwent plastic surgery. We’ve seen a lot of failed plastic surgery procedures over the years, but his face doesn’t appear to be one of them. Is it true that Gowdy had a nose job? So, what’s up with Trey Gowdy’s face? Unfortunately, we are equally perplexed because it is difficult to corroborate anything without supporting evidence.
We can all say that speculations about Trey’s accident and health difficulties may be true.
Possible Reason for Surgery After Trey Gowdy Accident?
The incident might be another factor in Trey Gowdy’s need for nose surgery.
On June 14, 2020, Gowdy was involved in a horrible vehicle accident. The former congressman was a passenger in a car involved in a collision with just one other vehicle at 12:30 a.m.
The car’s driver, a trusted buddy of Trey’s, lost control of it on an exit ramp. As a result, the vehicle began to flip over multiple times until coming to a halt in a ditch. The incident took place on I-85 close to Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Gowdy was using his seatbelt, but it wasn’t fastened securely. As a result, he suffered facial injuries to his jawbone, cheeks, and nose. He was immediately transferred to the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where he underwent surgery to treat his wounds.
In a Fox News interview, he even discussed the situation in detail. He claimed to have cuts on his skin and fractured bones in his face. However, he made no mention of surgery.
We can’t be sure until he says so himself, but the accident may have affected his face.
