On June 23, 1972, Selma Blair was born close to Detroit, Michigan. She traveled to New York City to explore an acting career after earning degrees in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1995.
Her first significant screen appearances were in Cruel Intentions (1999) and Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane (The WB) (later renamed Zoe…). Other notable projects include appearances in the movies Hellboy (2002), The Sweetest Thing (2002), and Legally Blonde (2001). (2004).

For Blair, there is hardly ever a day without the consequences of multiple sclerosis, an autoimmune disease that she was diagnosed with in 2018, but she believes started affecting her central nervous system much earlier.
As Selma Blair continues to openly discuss her battle with multiple sclerosis, she has spoken up about the precise moment she realized she was ill.
The Legally Blonde star, who received her MS diagnosis in August 2018, said in an interview with Variety how, after experiencing years of “mystery symptoms,” she first realized something was amiss when her leg gave out when she was walking in a Christian Siriano show in February 2018.
Blair claims that because she was so convinced the symptoms weren’t psychosomatic, that’s when she realized they weren’t.

Selma Blair Is Still Affecting By Multiple Sclerosis?
However, Blair provided encouraging news regarding her struggle with the illness last month, saying that after a successful stem cell transplant, she is now in remission and her “prognosis is outstanding.”

At the age of 18, Selma’s childhood sweetheart died tragically; she has stated that he had epilepsy, but she is unsure of the precise cause of his unexpected loss. Blair and writer/producer Ahmet Zappa married on January 24, 2004, in Carrie Fisher’s Beverly Hills home after a six-month courtship; they split up in December 2006. From 2008 to 2010, Selma dated her “Kath and Kim” co-star Mikey Day, who is currently a cast member of “Saturday Night Live.” From 2010 to 2012, Selma dated fashion designer Jason Bleick, with whom she had a son named Arthur (born in July 2011).
