This week, Sony is holding a PlayStation Showcase, and after April’s event, which was all about Final Fantasy XVI, people are expecting this one to be big as well. During Not-E3, a big reveal or announcement is normally made at an event like State of Play. This one will be about what’s next for Sony’s PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2.
When Does The PlayStation Showcase Start?
The PlayStation Showcase will start on May 24 at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET and last for more than an hour. You can watch it on the official Twitch and YouTube feeds for PlayStation.
PlayStation Showcase broadcasts live Wednesday, May 24 at 1pm Pacific Time.

What To Expect From PlayStation Showcase 2023?
We know that Sony is working on some big games. After Final Fantasy XVI comes out on June 22 for PS5, everyone will look forward to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games and probably more information on its Wolverine game. Spider-Man 2 is believed to be getting ready for a September release, and the PlayStation Showcase is probably the best place to make an official announcement about the release date.

Aside from Insomniac, there are games from Naughty Dog and Guerrilla Games. Naughty Dog is expanding its post-apocalyptic world with The Last of Us multiplayer game, and Guerrilla Games is rumored to be doing the same with a multiplayer Horizon game. Haven Games, which Sony bought, will also show what it has been working on since it was bought.
Sony has also stated that third-party content and games from its independent partners will be shown. Mortal Kombat 1 comes out in September, and PlayStation Showcase is another great place to get a first look at gameplay for NetherRealm’s future brawler. Death Stranding 2 and Tekken 8 by Hideo Kojima could also show up, but Final Fantasy VII Rebirth could be the next big third-party game.
Last but not least, Sony could give more information about which games will be coming to PC next. Fans have also been hoping for a PC version of Bloodborne for years, but there is still no sign of that happening.
