What Happened To Kate Gosselin On ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’
After meeting the staff in charge, the 16 celebrities are told to start running in the Jordan Desert by the former Special Forces operators. Kate is best known for her reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, which she did with her then-husband Jon Gosselin in the mid-2000s.
She tells the cameras that her sextuplets turned 18 this year, so she wants to start working on other things. But it seems like Kate may not have known how hard this challenge would be on her body. Kate starts to have trouble with the opening run, which gets the staff’s attention.
In the first official exercise, which is based on a real Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFA) test, the 16 celebrities have to do a backwards dive out of a helicopter. This takes place later in the first episode.
Kate tells the staff that she is “terrified” of water and heights, but she still wants to do the task. Kate gets scared during the exercise and falls on her back in the water, which means she fails the challenge.
But Kate doesn’t just leave with a bruised ego. The reality star also informs the doctors that she is experiencing severe neck pain. The doctor is worried about Kate’s neck, so he tells her that they have to take her to the hospital to get an X-ray of her spine.
“Kate is taken to the hospital for X-rays because her neck might be broken,” the voiceover says as she is put on a stretcher and put into an ambulance. So, the reality star has to leave the challenge for health reasons. Luckily, Kate did not suffer a broken neck but is “hurt,” per Ds. Agent Remi Adeleke.
