Sofía Vergara’s Divorce Settlement
In a joint statement, the couple declared their separation. The former couple made the announcement after being married for seven years at the Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida, where they were married in November 2015.
The now-ex-couple stated, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people who love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
Manganiello filed for divorce from the America’s Got Talent host two days after the joint statement, alleging “irreconcilable differences.” He mentioned they had a prenuptial agreement and gave July 2 as the separation date.

Later on, Vergara requested in another document that the court uphold the prenuptial agreement between her and her former spouse. The conditions of Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s divorce settlement have been finalized, six months after they announced their separation.
The 51-year-old Modern Family star and the 47-year-old Magic Mike actor decided to divide their assets in accordance with their prenuptial agreement, according to documents obtained by news outlets.
During their marriage, the ex-couple did not share “any community property.” In addition, the agreement specifies that Vergara and Manganiello will retain any revenues made after July 2, 2023, as well as personal belongings including clothes, jewelry, and “miscellaneous personal effects.”
The couple has given up their claim to spousal maintenance. The former couple decided to finalize their divorce over two months prior to the filing.
A February file that news outlets were able to get states that the divorce is being handled as an uncontested action, which means that both parties went to court and “entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage… which is being or has been submitted to the court.”
According to the documents, Manganiello urged the court to end spousal support for both parties, and legal fees will be awarded in accordance with the proposed judgment’s guidelines.
Vergara disclosed to the Spanish newspaper El País in January that she and Manganiello had different ideas about growing their family, and that disagreement eventually caused them to be divorced.
The Griselda actress said, “My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore.”
