Gary Wright was an American musician and songwriter best known for his hit songs “Dream Weaver” and “Love Is Alive” from 1976. After seven years in London as a member of the British blues rock band Spooky Tooth and a solo artist on A&M Records, Wright released his breakthrough album, The Dream Weaver (1975).
While in England, he performed keyboards on former Beatle George Harrison’s triple album All Things Must Pass (1970), kicking off a friendship that would inspire the Indian religious themes and spirituality that would pervade Wright’s subsequent songs.
His latter work explored world music and the new age genre, yet none of his post-1976 releases had the same level of success as The Dream Weaver. In this article, you can read about the Gary Wright Obituary
