The Minnesota Vikings selected Percy in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He had a strong rookie campaign, catching 60 catches for 790 yards and six scores. He also scored on two kickoff returns and averaged 27.5 yards per return.
He won the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, the Sporting News NFL Rookie of the Year award, and the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year award. He also played in his first Pro Bowl. He remained a prolific and exciting Vikings player until 2012 when he was moved to the Seattle Seahawks.
