Lorraine Kelly flaunted the results of her 1.5-st (9.5 kg) weight loss on Instagram, posting before and after photos of her incredible transformation.
The presenter also revealed she had lost two dress sizes, praising the WW (formerly Weight Watchers) programme for making her feel “happier and healthier.”
Sharing photos of her progress with her fans on Instagram, the Breakfast TV host captioned them with an inspiring message: “Wow, I can’t believe both of these photos are of me!! “I’ve gone down two dress sizes, lost a stone and a half, and the best part is, I’m finding it easy to keep it off—all thanks to @ww.uk.”
Kelly went on to say that she’s been able to create and maintain healthy habits thanks to the app, which helps her track what she eats, sleeps, and exercises.
The programme has also assisted her in discovering “a plethora of delicious recipes to cook (or at least try!).”
“I feel happier and healthier, and I love sharing my experiences with the WW community,” she added.
Her followers were quick to compliment her on the results after she shared images revealing her progress: one before her weight loss, enjoying a pizza, and another of her looking trim in a body-skimming pink dress.
One person wrote, “Looking fantastic, Lorraine. Well done, lady.”
“You look amazing,” said another.
“You look absolutely fabulous, Lorraine. Well done,” said another fan.
However, some fans felt that the comparison between the two shots was a little “unfair.”
“Oh come on, compare a full-styled and professional makeup shot versus a Trakie [sic] Pizza Loving Candid Shot,” one user wrote. “Don’t you think it’s a little unfair and disproportionate?”
“I like Lorraine, but the two movies aren’t a fair comparison,” said another. “In the first, no make-up, an unflattering outfit, and messy hair, and in the second, done up to the nines by a professional, is not a true reflection.”
The presenter previously revealed that she was unhappy with her body after engaging in “comfort eating” during the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused her weight to rise.
“During the pandemic, I started comfort eating, and that was my downfall—comfort eating and being unable to go to my fitness classes,” she explained to The Mirror.
“When those classes ended, I began eating far too much—things I would probably never bother with again.” I wanted muffins, croissants, and doughnuts, for example.
“All of these things you know you shouldn’t be having and think they’re making you feel better at the time, but they don’t.” And so, slowly, slowly, slowly, I’ve gone from a size 10 to a size 14 in the last couple of years.
Kelly updated her weight loss journey after joining WW in the hope of being the “best version” of herself back in March. The mission was sparked after she went up by two dress sizes during lockdown.
She retweeted a message from her WW mentor, who stated, “This Is What Success Looks Like!” Lorraine, you have not only achieved your half-stone goal, but you have also lost eleven pounds!
“Three pound for a stone!” Weight Watchers UK and I are extremely proud of each other. “What an amazing journey you’re on.”
The TV host claims she found losing weight “dead easy,” explaining that she changed her diet and fitness routine by walking 10,000 steps per day.
“It’s not a stupid, silly diet because, as we all know, diets don’t work.” She claims. “It’s All About Making Small Changes.”
“We all know what’s good for us; we all know what we’re supposed to eat, so it’s all about finding the right balance.”
“I’m not bored or miserable, and I’m not constantly thinking about food; I’m just eating well.”
Kelly has another weight loss trick she previously shared with her fans, in addition to batch-making vegetable soap for lunch: ditching the food guilt.
The Star advised against “beating yourself up if you have a chocolate biscuit” because “it’s not the end of the world!”
“There’s Nothing Wrong With Having A Biscuit With A Cup Of Tea; It’s Fine; It’s Just A Matter Of Finding The Balance,” she continues.
At her “ideal” weight, the presenter says she feels “happier, healthier, and more confident.”
