Rick and Morty Season 6: Release Date? What Is The Plot?

The last two episodes of season 5 “Rick and Morty” have just been broadcast on Adult Swim in the USA. Of course, fans are wondering if there will be a 6th season. You will get an answer to this question as well as the start date, the plot, and the cast of the possible sequel below.

Rick and Morty: Do We Have A Release Date?

Since “Rick and Morty” was extended by 70 episodes in 2018, there will be a 6th season. Each season consists of 10 episodes, so fans can look forward to a total of 10 seasons. Seasons 6 and 7 are already in production, as reported by Screenrant magazine. 

The fifth season of Rick and Morty was released in September 2021, and since then fans are waiting for the release date of its Season 6. The new episodes will probably not appear until October 2022, as there has always been more than a year between the seasons of the series. The makers of the comedy confirmed during the Adult Swim Festival that Season 6 is on track for 2022. 

The sixth season will be released on Hulu and HBO Max, moreover the five seasons of the animated series are available on Adult Swim’s official website.

Do We Know About The Plot?

Nothing is known exactly about the plot of season 6. The main characters Rick, Morty, Summer, Beth, and Jerry are sure to return in the new episodes.

In the fifth season of Rick and Morty, some new characters were introduced in the storyline that have the possibility to make a return. These include Planetina (Morty’s Ex), and Birdperson. Birdperson returned in the eight episode of Rick and Morty Season 5 dropping an emotional reunion between him and future’s Rick.

Who’s In The Cast?

Since Rick, Morty, Summer, Beth, and Jerry are likely to be part of the party again, their voice actors will also be at the start. In the English original, these are Justin Roiland, Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, and Sarah Chalke (” Scrubs “). Other than them, the guest stars will include Kari Wahlgren, Alison Brie, Dan Harmon, Christina Ricci, and Darren Criss.
