Tina Turner’s son Ronnie is said to have died at the age of 62. According to police, they received a 911 call Thursday morning from a person who reported that Ronnie Turner was struggling to breathe outside their home.

Paramedics were called to the scene in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, where bystanders were performing CPR. Despite their best efforts, Tina’s second son, Ronnie, was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is currently no word on the cause of death or whether it was related to Ronnie’s pre-existing health issues, which included cancer.

Ronnie Turner was a musician and actor who was born on October 27, 1960. He’s also the son of legendary Grammy Award-winning singer Tina Turner.

Tina’s first marriage to Ike Turner produced four sons. Her late son Ronnie appeared in Angela Basset’s 1992 biopic, What’s Love Got To Do With It?

Ronnie became the second of Tina’s sons to pass away on December 8, 2022. On Thursday, paramedics rushed to Ronnie’s home in San Fernando Valley, California, and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Tina Turner Pays Tribute To Ronnie

Ronnie Turner, the youngest son of Tina and Ike Turner, died on Thursday, according to social media posts from his mother and wife. He was in the 1993 biopic, What’s Love Got to Do with It? He was 62.

“Ronnie, you left the world way too soon,” the 83-year-old R&B legend wrote on her Instagram account on Friday. “When I’m sad, I close my eyes and think about you, my dear son.”

Ronnie played bass in both of his parents’ bands at different times. Billboard says that he also had his own group called Manufactured Funk with songwriter and musician Patrick Moten. He had health problems recently, one of which was a fight with cancer.

Ronnie is Tina Turner’s second son that she’s lost. Her oldest son, Craig, whom she had with saxophonist Raymond Hill when she was 18 years old, killed himself in 2018. Ronnie’s father, Ike Turner, died in 2007.

In the same year, Ronnie got married to Afida Turner. The French singer posted an emotional tribute and response today.

It said, in part, “I did my best until the end, but I couldn’t save you this time.” I’ve loved you for 17 years. This is terrible, and I am very angry. This is a tragedy. May you, your brother Craig, your father Ike Turner, and your mother Aline all rest in peace. So wrong.”
