Big Meech: Big Meech is one of the people who started the family of the Black Mafia. In June 1968, he was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He and his brother Terry built a huge drug empire in which they controlled the distribution of many kilogrammes of cocaine in many states.
Some of the states that took part were Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Tennessee. But in 2001, the brothers had a fight, and Terry moved to Los Angeles to run his own business. He grew up with his brother and sister in the same house.
They wore the same clothes the whole time; their shoes had holes in them; and they needed to get money quickly or risk being kicked out onto the streets. After that, he and his brother went out on the streets and started selling drugs. After 20 years, he and his brother made their own black mafia family.
Why Did Big Meech End Up In Prison?
In 2007, both Big Meech and his brother Terry P. O. Lee “Southwest T” Flenory admitted to running a criminal business. Both brothers were sentenced to 30 years in prison, but Terry was released to home confinement last May because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Before the FBI broke up the group, the Black Mafia Family was said to have made more than $270 million from drug trafficking and money laundering.
The Flenory brothers were given 30 years in federal prison for their roles in the famous drug operation run by the Black Mafia family. He was also seen doing charity work in October 2021, which may have helped him get out of jail early.
Terry is said to have been in charge of operations in Los Angeles, while Meech was known for running the drug trade in Atlanta. Court documents say that the family ran the business from 1990 to 2005.
When Is Big Meech Going To Be Released From Prison?
Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory’s 30-year prison sentence has been cut by a few years because of his role in the well-known Black Mafia Family drug ring.
A federal judge cut Meech’s prison sentence by three years, according to a report in the Detroit News. The judge said that Meech was entitled to a reduction because the rules for sentencing had changed since he was convicted. Now, the Black Mafia Family Leader is likely to get out of jail in 2028, not 2031.
Brittany Barnett, Meech’s lawyer, wrote in a court filing that Meech had shown a strong commitment to rehabilitation while he was in jail. “Mr. Flenory has never been found guilty of a violent crime, so he doesn’t have a record of assault or violence.”
In the past, it was said that Meech might be released early because of the coronavirus pandemic. Terry Flenory, Meech’s brother, was let out of prison last year, but Meech wasn’t one of them.
50 Cent, who is making a show for Starz about the Black Mafia family, posted on Instagram that Meech’s prison sentence had been cut.
