iPhone 14 Release Date
Apple has not yet announced anything regarding the iPhone 14, much alone a release date. Since Apple normally releases new iPhones at the same time each year, it seems expected that the iPhone 14 will be released in September 2022.
The iPhone 13 was finally launched on September 14, 2021, the second Tuesday of the month. Apple appears to like the first or second Tuesday of September, thus the iPhone 14 might launch on either September 6th or September 13th, 2022.
Typically, Apple events are hosted in the company’s Apple Park headquarters in California and begin around 10 am Pacific Time, which corresponds to 6 pm GMT / 4 am AEST.
In March, Apple had its first event of 2022, but no mention of the iPhone 14 was made. Instead, tech enthusiasts received the highly anticipated iPhone SE 3 and a new iPad Air.

iPhone 14 Expected Price
Recent reports indicate that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will cost more than their predecessors. The predicted price increase is due to a combination of factors, including more expensive components and the display in particular, as well as a supply chain-wide price inflation.
Apple is apparently still eyeing a price increase, particularly in international markets. If it occurs, Apple’s 2022 product selection might have the following pricing structure:
iPhone model | 128GB of storage | 256GB of storage | 512GB of storage | 1TB of storage |
---|---|---|---|---|
iPhone 13 mini | $699 | $799 | $999 | – |
iPhone 13 | $799 | $899 | $1099 | – |
iPhone 13 Pro | $999 | $1099 | $1299 | $1499 |
iPhone 13 Pro Max | $1099 | $1199 | $1399 | $1599 |
iPhone 14 | $799* | $899* | $999* | – |
iPhone 14 Max | $899* | $999* | $1099* | – |
iPhone 14 Pro | $1099* | $1199* | $1399* | $1599* |
iPhone 14 Pro Max | $1199* | $1299 | $1499* | $1699 |
It is crucial to note that the iPhone 14 Pro Max could experience a higher price increase if the predicted significant camera redesign occurs. For the remaining models, we do not anticipate a significant price increase; however, if such an increase were to occur, it would likely affect the Pro models the most.

iPhone 14 Spec: New Leaks
A new leak has revealed the specifications of the next iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The figures were in line with our expectations, which is bad news for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max owners.
- iPhone 14 has a 6.06-inch flexible OLED display, an A15 Bionic processor, and 6GB of RAM.
- iPhone 14 Max has a 6.68-inch flexible OLED display, an A15 Bionic processor, and 6GB of RAM.
- iPhone 14 Pro: A16 Bionic, 6.06-inch Flexible OLED LTPO Display, with 6GB RAM
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: A16 Bionic, 6.68-inch Flexible OLED LTPO Display, with 6GB RAM
Yes, the iPhone 14 regular versions will include the same chip and exterior design as the iPhone 13. Apple is attempting to upsell buyers to the more expensive iPhone 14 Pro versions, which is either a significant risk or a stroke of marketing brilliance.
iPhone 14 Max Specifications
• 6.68" Flexible OLED Screen
• (2778×1284) Resolution & 458 PPI
• 90Hz Refresh Rate
• A15 Bionic (5nm TSMC)
• 6GB LPDDR4X RAM
• 128GB/256GB Storage
• Dual Rear Camera (12MP+12MP)
• Face ID
• Notch🫧 6GB+128GB: $899

However, there is a minor performance boost here: a 50% increase in RAM from 4-6GB. Apple has made the regular models have the same RAM arrangement as the iPhone 13 Pro models. In fact, this has little impact on overall performance, but it does allow the phone to store more apps in memory without having to reload them. Those dissatisfied by Apple’s iPhone 14 plans can take comfort in this news.
Finally, don’t be fooled by the screen sizes. Although the iPhone 13/13 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen and the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch display, nothing else has changed. Apple simply adds the numbers together. As a result, the leak reveals the true panel sizes. In the end, 2022 will be all about the iPhone 14 Pro models, which is a difficult pill to swallow during a period of high inflation. It will be fascinating to see how this technique is received.
“CAD renders of the iPhone 14 Pro reveal that the bathtub notch is gone,” says 91Mobiles. “In its stead, a pill-shaped hole-punch cutout will be placed alongside a small circular cutout. Face ID sensors and a selfie camera will be housed in the cutouts. All four corners of the front have symmetrical bezels, with the top bezel housing the speaker grille.”
91Mobiles isn’t finished yet. While its renders show the same back design as the iPhone 13 Pro, we also learn that the Lightning port (which is expected to be replaced by USB-C) and sim card tray (which is expected to be abolished in favor of eSim only) are both present. According to the site, the new iPhone 13/13 Pro green finishes will be carried over to the iPhone 14 line-up, with display sizes remaining at 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches.
91Mobiles also confirms earlier this week’s shocking claims that Apple will employ the A15 processor from the iPhone 13 series for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max models, with the A16 Bionic being reserved for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. While definitely divisive, Apple appears committed to widening the divide between pro and non-pro hardware throughout its entire product line, for better or worse.
“We should learn more about the iPhone 14 series in the coming week,” according to 91Mobiles, and with the Pros expected to be much more expensive, costs will be the hot issue on everyone’s lips.

iPhone 14 Design
What will the Apple iPhone 14 look like? In terms of the overall design, we don’t anticipate any significant changes, therefore the iPhone 14 series will likely look similar to the iPhone 13 series. Aside from the elimination of the notch on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, which will be replaced by an “i”-shaped horizontal hole-punch cutout, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will remain unchanged.
Regarding the iPhone 14’s color options, we anticipate that the Pro series will feature a matte finish, whereas the non-Pro variants will retain a glossy surface.
