Authorities said a suspect is in custody after a man was fatally shot outside a Phoenix apartment complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to a shooting call near 41st Avenue and McDowell Road in the complex’s parking lot around 2 p.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
When they arrived, they took David Gordon, 51, into custody after discovering a man with a gunshot wound inside a nearby vehicle.
Dariusz Swiader, 47, died at the scene from his injuries.
