A Woman Was Discovered Shot And Killed Inside An Adamsville Business

A woman was discovered shot to death inside an Adamsville business over the weekend.

Saturday at 9:30 a.m., officers responded to 3708 Veterans Memorial Drive after receiving a report of a shooting inside the business, according to Adamsville Police Assistant Chief Chris Robinson. This location is classified as a car repair shop.

Robinson reported that police and Adamsville Fire Department medics found a woman unresponsive upon their arrival. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, she was declared deceased at 9:44 a.m.

The victim’s name is being withheld until her family is notified. Robinson reported that she is in her mid-40s.

Three possible suspects were detained for interrogation.

Amy Stocks, 44, of Adamsville, is charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of the woman. On Monday at 1:55 p.m., she was booked into the Jefferson County Jail, and her bond remains at $1.5 million.

Two additional persons of interest were released without criminal charges.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the murder or the victim’s connection to the business where he was fatally shot.
