The former president of the United States, Donald Trump, referred to Queen Elizabeth II as “indispensable” and stated that meeting her was one of the most “amazing honors of my life.”

In an opinion piece for the Daily Mail that was published on Saturday, Trump made the claim.

The op-ed was published after Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Melania and I will remember our interactions with the Queen at Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace for the rest of our lives, Trump remarked.

Melania Trump, the first lady, and Trump met Queen Elizabeth II in July 2018 at Windsor Castle and again in June 2019 at Buckingham Palace.

Few people in history, according to him, “have more fully exemplified the traits of dignity, steadfastness, resolve, duty, and patriotic devotion,” he wrote in the opinion piece.

According to Trump, Queen Elizabeth II “was always there for her people” as the UK faced numerous difficulties throughout her reign, including the Cold War, the Blitz of London, Brexit, COVID, and more.

She embodied the distinctively British quality of the firm and quiet resolve in the face of all adversity,” Trump said. The traits that made Queen Elizabeth such a successful ruler also won her a great deal of popularity around the globe.

Queen Elizabeth II was “respected and cherished by the American People like few other figures in recent times,” according to Trump’s other statement.

Charles III was formally crowned king on Saturday during a meeting of the Accession Council following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles III “will be a terrific and magnificent successor to his cherished mother,” according to Trump.

This report was produced in part by Caitlin McFall and The Associated Press.
