She was the first woman to win the Entertainer of the Year award from the Country Music Association. Since then, she has won many other awards, including three Grammys, a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She put out more than 60 albums during her career, and ten of them were number one on the country music charts.

In the past few years, the singer’s health has gotten worse. In 2017, she had a stroke, and in 2018, she broke her hip. Loretta’s four children, Clara, Ernest, Peggy Jean, and Patsy Eileen, are the only ones who will remember her. Betty Sue and Jack Benny, two of her other children, died before she did.
