Save The Date: PlayStation Showcase 2023 Coming May 24 With PS5

A PlayStation Showcase event will take place on May 24, Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed. The event will take place on that Wednesday at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET.

“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators,” PlayStation said.

That’s all PlayStation said about the future PlayStation Showcase. Sony could show off future games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Naughty Dog’s Last of Us multiplayer game, and a number of other games. There could be announcements and other shocks that no one expected.

Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation President & CEO Jim Ryan Said on 5 Jan 2022: “Blockbuster Games Like Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy & Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Coming To PS5 Later This Year, It’s Never Been A More Exciting Time To Be Part Of The PlayStation Community.”

Summer Games Fest, the Xbox Games Showcase, and the Starfield Direct in June are three other big game events happening this summer. Ubisoft Forward also happens in June, while Gamescom Opening Night Live happens in August.

The PlayStation name is soaring at the moment. As of March 31, more than 38 million PS5s had been sold. The 6.3 million systems sold between January and March are the most that any company has ever shipped in a January-March quarter.
