Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got engaged 20 years ago. On Saturday, they got married in Las Vegas. The small wedding took place at midnight at the Little White Wedding Venue in front of each of their five children.
Lopez confirmed the news in her weekly newsletter “On the JLo,” which also included several exclusive photographs from their wedding day. Lopez’s new married name Jennifer Affleck was listed on a marriage license filed in Clark County, Nevada.
“We did it,” she said joyfully. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, and stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
“We read our own vows in the little chapel and handed each other the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives,” she said. There was even Bluetooth for a (brief) march down the aisle.

The bride donned a “dress from an old movie,” while the groom donned a blazer from his own closet.
Lopez and Affleck first dated from 2002 to 2004 while working on the film Gigli; they would later marry in November 2022. Their wedding was scheduled for September 14, 2003, but it was rescheduled owing to heavy media coverage. Four months later, they split up.
The couple rekindled their passion in April of last year and became engaged for the second time a year later.
Lopez’s marriage to Marc Anthony produced twins Max and Emme. From his marriage to Jennifer Garner, Affleck has 3 children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Last month, the couple paid an estimated $55 million for a Bel Air mansion large enough for their mixed family.
