Man In Houston Charged With Murder In Death Of Mother’s Roommate: On Wednesday, a man was taken into custody in Houston on charges of murder in the shooting death of his mother’s roommate.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced that 22-year-old Robert Jones of Houston has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of Fitzroy George.

According to the sheriff’s office, George was shot on October 25 in an apartment on the 900 block of Cypress Station. Deputy sheriffs arrived at the residence and found him dead from gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.

There was no one else in the apartment when the deputies arrived, but they said they believed there had been an argument there before the shooting.

On Thursday, Gonzalez said that Jones had been arrested by the sheriff’s office’s criminal warrants unit. There was a second suspect in custody, but deputies were still looking for him.
