Kimberly Leedom Bliley, from Midlothian, Virginia, was a successful businesswoman with a good educational background. Randolph-Macon College awarded her a Bachelor of Science in Business/Economics and Spanish.

She later advanced her studies, earning a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Richmond. Kimberly’s career path led her to become a dedicated teacher at Chesterfield County Public Schools, where she worked for 17 years and 10 months, beginning in 2006.

Kimberly Leedom Bliley, 40, of Midlothian, VA, will fly on September 29, 2023. Kimberly leaves behind her husband, Craig Bliley, and their two sons, Carter, 6, and Cayden, 4. Her parents, Bill and Barb Leedom; brother, Michael Leedom; parents-in-law, Wayne and Jan Bliley; and extended relatives and friends survive her.

Kimberly attended Midlothian High School and Randolph-Macon College before attending the University of Richmond for her master’s degree. She garnered multiple teaching accolades over her 17 years as a Special Education Teacher with Chesterfield County Public Schools, including the Virginia Lottery Thank a Teacher Campaign Award, Lloyd C.

Bird High School Teacher of the Year, and the R.E.B. Award for Teaching Excellence, among others. She was an avid swimmer who had been a member of the Randolph-Macon College Swim Team and the Poseidon Swim Team, as well as the first swim coach at Lloyd C. Bird High School.

She was the Special Education Coordinator at Salem Church Middle School when her career ended. Kimberly worked hard as a mother, wife, and daughter. She showed her affection to everyone she met. A memorial visitation will be held at Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd, on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m.
