Katy Perry has become a global household name, and her musical career has had a significant impact on mainstream music in the 2010s. As a popular artist, she is known for her incredible stage performances and has consistently demonstrated her talent with the energy she brings onstage. However, a recent incident that occurred during her concert enraged fans.

Since videos and images of the 38-year-old singer, whose real name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, surfaced a few hours ago, she has been a hot topic. She was observed having difficulty controlling one of her eyes, which hampered her performance.

Have Katy Perry’s Eyes Glitch?

Katy Perry experienced a minor technical glitch during her Las Vegas residency concert on Monday night. Many videos and photos of the incident surfaced on the Internet shortly after it occurred. In a TikTok video, she was seen struggling to open her right eye in the middle of the show, which concerned many viewers.

She was performing in Vegas wearing a can-inspired silver leotard when she paused in the middle due to eye twitching. According to the video, one of her eyelids appeared to be stuck, which eventually affected the singer’s right eye. She was seen taking control of her eye, but her efforts were futile because the moment she opened it, it closed again.

Nonetheless, the singer handled the situation expertly, briefly pausing the show to assess the situation. She resumed her show after her condition returned to normal.

When the video went viral, one fan speculated that the singer’s twitching was caused by false eyelashes that had become stuck to her bottom lashes.

While many theories have surfaced on the internet, including facial paralysis, another possibility is blepharospasm. Blepharospasm is a complex term that simply means uncontrollable blinking or other eyelid movements, such as twitching.

Eyelid twitching usually goes away on its own. People with benign essential blepharospasm, on the other hand, can experience severe and long-term eyelid twitching.

She Was Effected With Wonk Eye!

When comforting a contestant, the TV personality who started working as a judge on American Idol during its sixteenth season in 2018 talked about her wonky eye.

A South Carolina contestant named Caleb Kennedy revealed to his mentor Bobby Bones that he once wore a big hat to cover his lazy eye during the competition. The contestant claimed that he was born with one lazy eye.

She shared about her wonk’s eye with the young contestant to reassure her, saying, “I have a wonk eye as well, and I used to be worried about it.” “Then a bunch of my fans started a fandom over my wonk-eye,” she continued. I even belong to a fandom called “Katy’s wonk-eye.”

She went on to say that it was her right eye after saying that one should not be concerned about it and should instead celebrate it.
