Jay Leno Hospitalized After being Injured in Car Fire: Jay Leno was taken to the hospital on Sunday because he got “serious” burns on his face in a car fire that was not his fault.
TMZ reported on Monday that the 72-year-old former “Tonight Show” host and car collector was in the Los Angeles garage where he keeps his many prized cars when one of them caught fire. The explosion badly burned the left side of Leno’s face, but it did not hurt his eye or ear, the news source was told.
The report says that he was taken to the Grossman Burn Center in LA.
Leno later told Variety that the news of the accident was true.
“A gasoline fire burned me pretty badly,” he said. “I am OK. Just give me a week or two and I’ll be fine.”

The “Jay Leno‘s Garage” star missed an appearance in Las Vegas on Sunday night because of a “very serious medical emergency,” according to reports.
According to an email sent to the people who were going to the Financial Brand Forum 2022, he was supposed to perform there but had to cancel at the last minute.
People got a copy of the notice Monday morning. It said, “His family wasn’t able to give us many details, but there was a very serious medical emergency that keeps Jay from traveling.”

“All we know for sure is that he is still alive, so tonight we will pray for him and his family.” US News & World Report says that as of June of this year, Leno had more than 180 cars in his impressive collection. These cars included exotic cars, hypercars, and museum-quality artifacts.
But the magazine pointed out that among his many cars, there are also many that are cheap and easy to get. It’s not clear which of Leno’s cars might have broken down.
