The driver of a Tesla died Saturday when she crashed through a fence and into a swimming pool at a home in San Rafael.
Officer Darrel Horner says that a woman was driving west on Point San Pedro around 7 a.m. Saturday when her Tesla left the road and crashed into the pool outside a home on Bonnie Banks Way.
Horner says that the woman was not using a seat belt.
Horner said that the police and fire departments from San Rafael were the first to arrive at the scene and that the driver was pronounced dead.
It’s not clear yet if the Tesla was driving itself when it crashed.
No one was hurt in the house, and the damage was only in the pool area.
