On Thursday, November 16, 2023, Dana Carvey and his wife posted a beautiful tribute to their son on Instagram, confirming his death and expressing their loss and sorrow. “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved son, Dex Carvey,” they wrote.
He had a great soul, was a brilliant comic, and was an accomplished musician. Everyone who knew him was filled with joy and laughter. He was also a brave warrior who battled his demons with grace and tenacity. He died as a result of an unintentional drug overdose, a dreadful scourge that is claiming far too many lives.
