Cardi B fought back after a member of the audience threw their drink at her as she was performing in Las Vegas, the latest in a worrisome new trend of concertgoers hurling things at singers.
The incident appeared to have occurred on Saturday, during Cardi B’s scheduled performance at Drai’s Beachclub. Cardi B was performing her hit “Bodak Yellow” on stage when someone holding a giant cup supposedly flings the drink at her, dousing the rapper while she was on stage, according to a video circulated on social media.
Cardi B appears stunned at first, then retaliates by tossing her microphone at the person. The profanity-laced video has received over 6 million views on TikTok.
A representative for the rapper did not immediately reply to an NBC News request for comment. On Sunday morning, Drai’s Las Vegas did not immediately respond to an email requesting additional information.

Cardi B is just the latest musician who has been physically assaulted or thrown objects on stage while performing. Last month, Bebe Rexha posted photos of her injured eye when a concertgoer hurled a phone at her during a performance at Pier 17 in Manhattan.
The accused, Nicolas Malvagna, allegedly told a witness that he “thought it would be funny” to attack Rexha. His counsel stated that he was hoping Rexha would shoot photos on stage and then return the phone to him.

A week later, at a concert in Idaho, country artist Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face with an object while singing her song “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too).” She exited the stage and chatted with fans before returning to perform the song acoustically.
“I want to say about what just happened, all I care about is keeping everyone safe,” she said in the video shared by a fan. “So if you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know. There’s security everywhere tonight.”
Harry Styles looked to wince in agony after being hit with an object earlier this month during his show in Vienna. It’s unclear what happened, but Styles can be seen in a fan video cradling his head in his hands as he walks offstage after being hit.
Styles got hit with something for the second time during a “Love on Tour” performance. Styles was hit in the eye with a Skittles candy that was thrown at him last year, and Skittles replied by running an advertising in the Los Angeles Times imploring people not to hurl the candy.
