Keith Urban Early Life
Keith Lionel Urban was born on October 26, 1967, in Whangarei, New Zealand. His father had a convenience shop in Caboolture, Queensland, Australia, where he grew up. As a child, he began taking guitar lessons from his teacher, Sue McCarthy and entered local music competitions.
Urban debuted in the Australian talent competition “New Faces” in 1983.
